Production Facility Risk Management

Distillery risk management considerations extend far beyond simply operating the still,  and facility operators need to be aware of and ready to address these risks as they appear. This course will provide participants a general high-level overview of the production facility-related risks associated with distilled spirits operations, including food safety requirements and best practices, product recalls, employee health and safety, and agricultural considerations.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Understand the potential production facility-related risks and obtain tips on how to identify them before they become an issue
2. Gain insights from distillers on how to properly comply with the FDA’s food safety requirements and other factors to look out for in relation to good manufacturing practices
3. Learn the types and causes of product recalls issues and how to develop a recall plan
4. Determine how to best protect employee health and safety and apply the relevant requirements to their facilities
